Message from SCMS President 2024 - Dr. Tanya Tang

Greetings and a joyful New Year to my fellow colleagues! It is with great honor that I assume the role of President to represent the Spartanburg County Medical Association this year. As an organization, we have much to celebrate, standing as the epitome of excellence in the medical community in South Carolina! 

I am thrilled to highlight the remarkable achievements of Dr. Fritz Butehorn and Dr. Jeff Cashman at the state level. Furthermore, our pride swells as we acknowledge Dr. Helen Stockinger's distinguished role as the Speaker of the House and only the second female president in the history of the SCMA!

As we embark on this new year, my vision is to foster inclusivity and engagement, welcoming members from diverse specialties. Our organization flourishes when we embrace and appreciate our differences. By actively listening and understanding each other, we can unite as a stronger, more cohesive entity. Let us come together to make this year one of collaboration, growth, and collective success!
